Noah didn't roll from his back to his belly till he was almost 8 months old and then a week later was crawling. So everything happens when it is supposed to. We need to get together soon before that baby of your is a toddler.

You nailed it...that's totally the key to keeping your insanity. You can't run as many errands as quickly as you'd like. You have to take it slow and that's the way it is! It certainly makes you appreciate how much you used to rush and how unnecessary it sometimes is....I wish you lived here so our kids could play...and so you could be my official child photographer!

I think it's awesome that your blog has now turned to something more specific without you having to think about what that topic could be?!?! it's so fun reading these entries because it takes me back to when i was pregnant too and feeling all the same things. this will be great too to have to go back and read after the baby's born. this is such a special time...although some of it will suck, the tiredness, the constant peeing, etc., if you really think about what's going on...it's truly a miracle and so spectacular! enjoy!

i can tell you that, as a mom, i'm terrified to even let giovanna outside to ride a bike or play because there's so many weirdos in the world now, you never know what can happen! i think those are my own fears i'm placing on her, and i truly hope i can get over them because, you're right, kids need to be doing activities...not sitting indoors on some gadget. i just remember how many dangerous situations i got myself into as a kid hangin out in the street...it makes me stay awake at night to think she'll one day be doing the same.

You should send her a link of that pic, maybe she'll incorporate it! I think inspiration is contagious, so keep it up. You make me want to take a photography class and find out how to express my creativity!

my exact reaction was, first, a wide-open jaw-drop. then as i concluded reading the manifesto, i uttered, "oh...my...god." we sure have come a long way in 54 years! and since this was during a time when women were still probably regarded as a man's servant, as this article portrays, it probably was written by a man!!! because what would a woman be doing working, let alone stating her, albeit brainwashed, opinion! i can't believe this was actually printed, and only 1/2 century ago! "do not complain...even if he stays out all night"?!?!?!? "you have no right to question him,"?!?!?! are you kidding me?!?! this was totally written by a man. okay, so at the same time i was reacting this way, i was thinking in the back of my head, you know, some of this stuff maybe makes sense. for example, it's so easy to start going off about your own problems and events of the day right as your mate comes through the door, and that may create a stifling and negative environment. i wonder if adultery and dysfunctional families and divorce and all the complexities of marriage would magically disappear if a spouse were to really follow by this? would you even be willing to test it, you know, for research's sake? and why, when i think about actually doing this list of slave-to-your-man type actions, is it so impossible for me to even conjure an image without feeling completely inferior, upset, and incredulous? do i have too much pride? do you think men would me capable of abiding by this, this...bull?!?! i'd be curious to know. ok, i think you should do the experiment. you do one week of this, then have alex do one week of this. see if your relationship improves at all, your demeanors, the way you interact with each other. then compare and see if alex feels at all emasculated when it's his turn, or not, how you react to him treating you in this way. i don't know, it's almost like, it could work?!?!?! is that crazy?!?! so why is every nerve in my brain saying that it's the biggest pile of s&*^ i've ever heard? nature vs nurture? is this how all of the women in our generation react? man, how did you find this and what made you search for this topic?!
